All I can tell you is that CCI seems to be legitimate organization but, beyond that, I don't know if the electronic mail is....FWIW

The IP accost is non proof that the bodily IP holder, or anyone using that PC downloaded anything.

The original post has changed substantially. If this revised problem happened to me I'd now exist looking at the mail headers for the ususal signs of forgery.
What is missing is the usual demand for coin via some untraceable direct payment method (e.thousand. UKash, Bitcoins, Western Union).
Btw, I cannot believe that AT&T could be bothered to read incoming emails, let alone bother to forward i. Still sounds like a scam to me.
